I’m getting the hang of this ninja looting and salvaging. And not only the hang, but the taste as well.
Today, in a little over 2 hours semi attended, I racked up about 15 million ISK stealing crap from other people. For the first time, someone actually took a shot at me. Well multiple actually. He put a serious dent in my armor, making me retreat for a bit. But I managed to steal his loot after all.
The best story is the last victim. Some lonely dude I found fighting in a Dominix battleship. I warped on his space, and I couldn’t get to the wrecks, because he was still killing the NPC’s. But he saw me and just stopped shooting. So we sat there both, silent, waiting.
I needed to go AFK, so I crancked up the volume of my speakers, in case he decided to continue. But he didn’t. When I came back, he was still just sitting there, hoping for me to go away. So I waited some more. Show him I wasn’t going anywhere. So after about an half an hour, I started a conversation with him. And either he was acting like a true pro actor, but the impression I got was that he was still relative wet behind his ears (he had maxed positive sec status and was in a NPC faction corp) when it came to PVP and all that.
So then I spent like 15 minutes to try and get him to join my band of brothers, promising easy piles of money stealing loots. All he had to do was shoot at the ship of my buddy (my scouting alt ofc), and if he was able to pop it in one shot, he could have all his loot, and I’d take him along.
For a minute, I thought I had him. He took out his drones, but then I believe he asked in his corp channel or the rookie channel, and he tucked away his little drones. He then congratulated me on my chosen profession, and cleared the site for me to loot. Damn … so close to looting a free Dominix battleship. All the while I had to go AFK AFK AFK.
